Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Gavin's cheapy but getting more expensive GTI
Looks pretty damn good!!
I still wish I could squeeze in one of those Seat Sport FMICs, that thing look ha-uuge!Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...

There would be plenty of better FMICs about mate. The reason for using one is the availability and no fitment issues. With the extra fettling we did on the outlet piping of Anthony's, I can see that there would be room for improvement in flow.
In the short term I just want to use it for a while now.
Something I didn't mention is the EGT gauge, That's in the manifold but needs wiring inside. Fingers crossed I don't have a delay getting home on Friday from Sydney and I'll have the afternoon to catch a couple of hours on the gauge and some running in. Maybe even drop the running in oil out.
Another couple of things, the rear wiper now hits the cup spoiler so I took it off for the time being. FML.
I have been looking for some 30mm silicon pipes to do the MAD MAX DV properly, I ended up using one of the radiator hoses I took off to fit the Samco kit( Thanks Jesse ).

Well folks, being away all week and having to work today, I just did 25km in the Squib. Running in oil on board with the N75 disconnected. Still pretty lively with 7PSIObviously with a pretty fresh bottom end I haven't given it too much.
Going to give it a while for the oil to drain back to the sump, then I'll drop it out for a look see and refill with some synthetic. New filter as well.
It whistles well
Stage 3 clutch very light. Pleased with that.

Well after the oil change, it has become apparent that from the 3 oil level sensors on the property, I have picked the broken one to put in the Forge sump. FML It'll have to stay in until the next oil change.
I'll wire up the EGT probe tomorrow, getting too late to poke around in the dark.

Needs some shaking down before then Chris. And probably a revised tune, will have to see how that goes. It pulls pretty hard on 7 PSI though
