I find the difference between the boost curves of the Custom Code tunes v APR tunes, interesting...
Contemplating a trial with Custom Code once I get some more bits and pieces sorted...

Warning - Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny....

So you just need a front mount, any front mount and you're there

Yeah, it'll be a bit easier if we can get the Dynapack generated files as opposed to phone photos of printouts..

Great stuff guys. So much interesting stuff to read. I will take this moment to say thanks to a lot of you as with all the information and discussion to come in the following weeks will have potentially saved a few of us other members, who haven't committed to parts, possibly thousands of dollars.

Gav is too humble to say anything, but the problem with Lito's car was a split hose to one of the sensors or something, was chatting to Gav tonight and it has already been sorted, so zero problem with the tune or the turbo, as I would expect from Custom Code.

Good call from Guy not to push it on the day, but I trust this puts to rest any question of the tune from CCode.

Nice one Greg, beat me to it, nothing wrong with Franken turbo or the tune, and didnt expect there would be. Always the tune to get the blame first. Only takes a split hose really to the knock the AFs out, of course. Would love to hear a reason not to go Franken turbo, that coupled with the Custom code tune is a whopper, ive drove the thing when nearly on song and has me all goosepimply knowing im doing an AGU too, and cant wait to have Custom code do the sweet tune on my 6N2 project. Itll be running stage 3 too, yeha. The Car was nice and rich then before Gav did the final tune so there was nothing wrong with the tune. Anthony i agree wait and see that thing when its on song, whopa!!. If it didnt have the JBS04 i would have seriously considered the Franken turbo for sure.
I think the proofs there that Custom code tuning is a proven goodie for the VAG cars, 2 nice quick Polos there say it all. Driven both and both are like an Ox.

Ok for the modification costs, I guess there are two ways of doing this. The first price is what I paid for the stuff going back 5 years or so when the exchange rates were horse**** and the Polo GTI was a brand new release so vendors were all charging top dollar. And probably more relevant and in line with what Pog Wars is all about being a quest for accurate information for those wanting to choose a modification path that suits them, which would include current pricing.

                    So for the tune.

The original Custom Code Phase I was $1100 at the time. And I think is now advertised for $699.
The Phase II upgrade was an extra $350 after the Intercooler and DP went on. Now for those wanting to go directly to Phase II it's only $799.

The following prices are from what I remember. If I can't I will mark like this $100* which will indicate I had to surf for the price.

                    3"CAI Duct $30
Modshack VTDA intake with K&N Pod filter $220
                    Diverter Forge 007 $160*
Diverter Spring Yellow (spring kit) $30*
                    TIP Forge $185*
                    Exhaust Manifold ATP + HPC Coating $325 + $300
                    2.5" Custom Downpipe with high-flow cat $600
Miltek 2.5" Catback $700 new pricing from Awesome GTI
                    Intake Manifold Gasket Phenolic $50
Intercooler SEAT Sport with brackets and Forge piping kit $1300
Forge intercooler to TB hose $80*
ECS Stage II clutch kit including 14lbs flywheel $690* ($310 for flywheel separately)
                    ECS lightweight crank pulley $110
Fuel Pressure Regulator Bosch 4bar $50
                    Fuel Pump APR $270
SAI Pump Deleted, N249 Deleted, N112 Valve Deleted $50*
                    Spark Plugs NGK BKR7EKT $15

                    Hope this helps! Cheers.

How did you find the lightweight crank pully, I was told not to use the billet ones cause it increased vibrations in the engine bay

And I know what you mean by the price reduction, stuff was way more expensive when I bought my a3 compared to nlw

I actually find it really good. No vibration and it has smoothed out power delivery even more I think.

So jasn78 has the quickest polo down the quarter due to his great skills, someone needs to own up to being the king of the polos, the most power

Good idea Troy. We should get a Polo Performance thread stickied. For example top track times including 1/4 runs.

                            4.

                            Winton

Haha agree, Jasonc23 time at winton is amazing, for the little mods he has to his car, i cant get close to that. Also not forgetting Eddys wakefield park times also.

Jason is taking out 2 categories at the moment taking out the quarter and torque also.

This might help to fo pull my finger out a little lol, and get my arse into gear with some tuning etc

                                Hoyhoy.
Troy, the Little Blue Girl can't be king of the Polo's, she is a she.
There are no forseeable changes in the near future for the Girl, she is now reliable & fairly quick on the track.
So I don't want to stuff up things now, I've been having heaps of fun as it is.
May be, just may be if another Pog catches my Waky time, I might revise the situation.
                                Hooroo.
