Hopefully, hopefully i will have more confidence with the car having the extra rubber.Originally posted by VWindahouse View PostSweet Troy, can't wait to see your track times plummet
Also going to get some Motul RBF600 fluid for the brakes and do a flush. Been reading up on fluids and it seems a good choice for the price !! Not paying $140 for the Castrol SRFMODS- TOO MANY

Nice looking combo, I'm not much for black rims, but if anyone is going to keep them clean enough to pull it off, its you.
Should sit nicely infront of the bigger rotors, would look laughable with the stock ones (with everything else looking juuuust right).

Initially, I was super annoyed that the RPF1's didn't come in the size I wanted but I'm now happy with the slightly heavier TD Pro Race 1.2's because they're a lot stronger so I think they'll stand up to more track abuse (all the kerbing you need to do at Sandown and sometimes get forced on to at Winton)Originally posted by vwthunder View Post8.1kg not as light as RPF1's but everyone has those
And yours are already in black so you won't need to paint them

So the wheels are on with the hankook RS3's
I bought some really nice black valve stem/cap valve thingos but Bob Jane said they wouldnt hold air or something
Really happy with how it looks, the 215/45 RS3's are really wide with a really high sidewall. Speedo is accurate for the first time ever !!
Here are the pics, just a few i took at night

So they are a 48 offset wheel
I had 10mm spacers on the rear and the tires rubbed, so if i have had gone a ET35 I would be stuffed
Fronts have a 10mm spacer so ET38 and tires hit on inside of arch liner when turning big time. Got some 16mm spacers coming. Lucky i have 3 degrees negative camber on the front !!!MODS- TOO MANY

Love the wheels and your car mate, its amazing how much the change the look of you whole car....one thing though, shouldn't you be running a 40 series tire not a 45? Maybe that's why it's scrubbing so bad?

Most full semis or partly semis seem to be in 45 not 40, guess the higher sidewall is needed to make it stiffer and less chance of damaging the tire on the track buy hitting curbs etc. Licorish strips are for looks/streetOriginally posted by Lito View PostLove the wheels and your car mate, its amazing how much the change the look of you whole car....one thing though, shouldn't you be running a 40 series tire not a 45? Did not realise how "fat" the 45 series wereOriginally posted by Bullet Fast View PostLooks the tits. This is something I'm kinda interested in. I won't confuse the threads by double posting, but I didn't realise how different offsets front to rear are. You're not concerned about scrub radius change on the front?
Never had tires scrub on the inside of the guard before, nothing spacers wont fix. The ECS brake kit i have actually moves everything inward closer to the strut (changes offset of caliper rotor).
Having camber adjustment and coilovers means can be set up to a height to aviod scrubbage etcMODS- TOO MANY
