haha, yeah, good point, my rears look ridiculous with the stock mk4 brakes... upgrading them is pretty low on the list at the moment though, not enough cashola to go around..
Dark Grey Mk4 Golf, 1.8T GTI conversion, APR stage 1, stock air intake, FMIC, 3" to 2.5" Exhaust, FK AK Street Coils, Black 18" (Avant Garde M310's ?), tinted tails, ...
It is good, I was thinking I would need to go bigger, but the cooler weather is coming back and it is wheel spining everywhere, cant even take a standard car at traffic lights etc.
Needs a LSD next
I am running a GIAC tune, think it is a K04 Polo tune
You should watch Gavins build up, he will show you what the Frankenturbo can really do
How much power you're making? My car currently in the workshop undergoing turbo change to Frankenturbo F21T kit, Genesis 415cc injectors, full 3" freeflow exhaust and Unitronic Stg2+ tune. Hopefully all is well ...
I had a short run on a dyno, they reved it up a little to 4000rpm and they couldnt get a AFR reading, so they suggested it was taken off the dyno (it was a dyno day). That dyno is known for producing low numbers.
That little squirt on the dyno made 156KW at the wheels i think
Guessing the car would make about 175 180 at the wheels
At 4k rpm, you've made 156KW?? That's very impressive indeed considering you're running on K04 maps, little tweak here and there should be netting extra 10-15KW more...
Still waiting for Recaros from UK, they will come eventually !!!
The Aeroflow can is for my radiator setup, it is a catch tank
Trying to find a spot down low to fit it, started making a bracket today.
Aerocatches, well these are going to be fun to fit. Cant find many writeups on fitting them, but guessing you make two holes and cut the rest with a hacksaw or jigsaw or something
