Vwthunders build thread (finally)

Ok so I got it all on and it was looking good. Went for a drive and was making a noise, my mate said his car did that with new pads and rotors untill it bedded in, i thought it didnt sound right.

After a few laps around the block i came back and jacked it up, couldnt spin the wheel.


Noticed this



So ended pulling it all off again, story of my life with the car latley

Calipers need to be pulled off and powdercoated

Ok so got the Rotors machined, so they just clear the ball joint now.

Spent another afternoon getting it all on, also changed to stainless lines. Never seen so much brake fluid everywhere lol


Got my spare calipers on, while i paint the red ones again

So much work to do, still need to get the back brakes done, need to get the downpipe on, finish the cat back system, do some logging etc etc etc. Oh also want to move the battery to boot



Any a pic of it all back together, dont know if the BBS's will clear, i hope they do

With 19's you will need a set twice as big lol

Ok so some more progress onthe rear brakes

Cut the dust shield off, thanks tim, nice cutting



Put the rotor on and it dosent seem to spin true, seems to be off, like it is bent big time

Ok so we thought it must be the rotors, seeing as i got them cheaper, due to a few marks on the hats. Oh we had all the lug bolts in holding it flush.

Noting seems to go right, nothing seems to fit, i guess modding a car things dont quite go right. So for all the people out there who think you can just but parts and fit them, dosent always work.
