Ok, tried to get the rear brakes on today, why cant they be easy like the fronts.

Welded a 1/4 drive hex to the threaded bolt, then that snapped. Ok, so welded a 1/2 drive socket to it and bobs your uncle, bolt off (thanks Tim).

So now the splash guard has to come off for the new rotor to fit. How do you get them off, find out the whole hub has to come out and you need a big hub nut socket and you cant reuse the nut and VW dont have them on the shelf.

Oh well, getting closer each time

Me don't know any butchers, once when the backing plates are off its easy to tin snip the outer lip off,
then file emm & touch emm up, they look like new.
