Alex took about 30-45mins to do mine, I'm pretty sure he did it from above, then again he probably does them all day.

"Yeah i agree you do get better with practice, but i dont see the advantage of doing it from underneath. As you said its blind anyway and with good daylight from the top at least you can see where its got to go. Anyway what ever works i guess."

Yep, from the bottom you have to take the d@mn cover off as well.....

Next time, I'll come by your place to help take it off / fit .....

Yeah, Alex & Guy also told me about 45mins when I bought mine from them.

        Wasn't 45mins for me though ........

            C'mon fella's - about 45 minutes (with a blindfold on!)

The really tricky buts are undoing the one use hose clamps. Its a fiddly job, some times its easier to get to some of the clamps from underneath.

Alex's arms / hands are a lot smaller than mine.

Stephen, take your time, you will be right.

You wont need any adapters if you use the standard DV.

And the install guide for a MKIV will be pretty similar to a Polo GTI.

Have a couple of beers first, it doesn't hurt so much when you skin your knuckles then.

I found that SAMCO make the TIP as well, why there is no one ever mention it?

I think it's pretty new, they only used to make the half TIP.

So when are adapters necessary - I am not far of having my Forge TIP arrive from Shaneth (as well as a Forge DV) and will be tackling this job soon?

Yep you need to get some before you start.

Mine is getting installed on Saturday, so I might be able to take some photo's if Jmac lets me!
