The 03s holds boost a lot better at the top end compared to the 03. There was one fitted to my Leon Cupra which I had up to 140mph indicated after it was chipped. There was some more to come but I ran out of road/bottle.
A pretty cheap upgrade if your 03 died, I would go for one otherwise. Also you would need different software to get the most from it.

I'll get the part number off a stock turbo if you can find out if its a K03 "Sport" or not - people in the industry dont refer to it as such - its a term that has developed on the forums from what I understand!
Part Number K03/82 710006962 (last bit is probably the serial number)
As far as I'm aware, the 110KW/150hp spec 1.8T came with the K03, whilst the 130KW/180hp spec 1.8T comes with a K03 Sport.
There's every chance the different turbocharger is the difference between the Polo GTI and Polo GTI Cup edition - rather than a simple reflash.
If Guy or Seb has a spare turbo or two lying around from a conversion - they might like to compare the two. From research (never eyeballed the things) - the K03 Sport should have a larger housing and impeller wheel.
