Ford V8s are fun.Originally posted by Petrina Polo View PostI jumped into a Ford Boss V8 to the dismay of my Mrs...
I have plenty of respect for the Polo Gti, plenty of pace for such a little car. It would keep its nose ahead of the boss under under 4500rpm. The Boss is like a big angry puncher.. Down low he misses the target a little but gee when it hits its a KO, above 4000rpm, its just unbeleivable.
Im just used to the bigger cars. VW Thunder got an excellent car.
Still say you should of kept the polo and made it into a monster.Originally posted by Preen59It doesn't matter what car you drive.. If you're a complete wanker.. People still won't want to talk to you..

But god only knows how many more badges would have been NEEDED to be put on the car to make him happy :pOriginally posted by Whubbsie View PostFord V8s are fun.

Petrina probably came to the same realisation as me. Whilst the Polo is a good base platform, the mods needed to turn it into an absolute weapon just cost far too much money. There was no way I was pumping another $25k into a $30k car to get it where I wanted it to be.

true you can pump less into a different car a to get it to the same point but you'll find yourself surrounded with a whole bunch of other people with exaclty the same car.Originally posted by JCM308 View PostBut god only knows how many more badges would have been NEEDED to be put on the car to make him happy :p

No matter how much money you pump into a Polo to try and make it into a monster you will never .... EVER ... get past its biggest problem .... TRACTION ......
If you have the money you'd be better off, changing up for a VW 2.0T with AWD ... (if you want to stay in the family), with money spent on that then, it will be a real weapon......

It sounds all to familiar to me when dealing with FORD.Originally posted by JCM308 View PostLooks like I'm still going to be waiting for the new toy. If they don't have it today I can't pick up till next Tuesday cause I'm going on holiday tomorrow morning.
Getting sick of the run around.
