  • Good to see its proving fruitful, semi slicks / real tyres will help greatly (RSR's on windy drive were soooo much fun).

How did you find getting the power down coming out of turns? Was there less traction (as the inner tyre has less contact tread)?

Wing looks ok in those shots, I was worried it would stick out too much and look too ricey (not that you'd ditch it just because it didn't fit the VAG look 100%).

That was the first time Lindsay had taken the lotus out since he almost put it into the wall in teh wet so he was taking it a little more reserved than usual.
      Fair enough too, cheers Clay.

No traction issues at all mate. If anything I could feel the side walls rolling over at the limit on a couple of tighter corners because the new camber/wing combo allowed a lot speed than usual.

Ah yes the wing. I did my best to get the smallest one going with still keeping it very functional. It is growing on me but hard to shake a Fast and Furious label.

Yeah your reviews of the RSR's have pretty much sold me on trying a set.

I'm sure there's better for more, I'm sure there's other budget options, for the <$200 a corner I paid, very fun. I'm glad I took them when they were recommended to me.

        • Geez, my EVO's were turning to mush, let alone you carrying heaps more speed into the corners.. Def going to try the RSR's when the EVO's give up, I'll be curious to see how you go with them. I can't remember if you mentioned it, but can you only run semi's in the class your going for in TA?

I must say, from being behind you most of the time, I could see the advantages of the brakes and suspension working. On the straights I could keep up easy enough (not for long tho hey ), but I really noticed you could carry a lot more speed into the same corner being able to wash it off with the bigger brakes, and heaps more grip through the corner, even following the same lines.

Haha I think your safe with the wing; Bliss is very 'anti-tool' and she said it looked surprisingly good Good to know it's doing it's job too.

          • The RSR's are great value and jason23c has got incredible times with them around Winton but they are really a VERY high performance street tyre more than a full blown semi-slick. Their compound is hard enough to not heat cycle too much when used for daily driving - most semi-slicks would go off very quickly with that sort of usage.

Such a good price, wish I just got a set in the first place. Cheers mate.

Yes mate for the local Time Attack Series I will be going into the Performance class because of the aero mods (one up from street class) so I can run R compound semis.

Mate I couldn't shake you on the straight at all! And great to hear someone could actually see the effects of the new gear too. And very glad I passed the anti-tool scrutineering lol!! Thank Bliss for me

Brilliant, can't wait to try these now! Cheers.

Interesting fact about the Ko3s V's the Ko4. The Ko3s has a much larger wastegate channel from factory at 29mm v's only 24mm on the Ko4. And the Frankenturbo F21 has a porter WG to 26mm. And on the inlet side this hybrid has a 46mm ID v's 41mm on the FT. Starting to have high hopes for this little bad boy

Having some issues sorting out a TIP solution so fingers crossed the bits arrive in time and fit mate.
