      And a quick update...... just ordered some new wheels from Tire Rack, so soon to have some decent poke for a Polo with 17x8" 35ET and the best part is the weight!!! Only 7kg per wheel saving a huge 2.3kg from the stock 16x6.5's and with 1.5" wider. Unsprung weight is the enemy...........

      Also Jimmy and I are planning the next installment of go faster bits with parts on order as I speak.

          Ha ha I like that! Well lets just say we are starting with the entire fuel system with some never seen before bling.

          Then moving to the turbo and yes my credit card knows no bounds either vwthunder.......... PHASE III

              Yeah mate the manifold in on there at the moment but unfortunately so is the Ko3s due to the hybrid ko4 I stupidly got off ebay. But after the great results at the last dyno day I just can't help myself.

                              So here are some pics, just waiting for some center caps ATM.






                              Quick review so far.

                              I am surprised with the grip and traction now with the wider contact patch. Not that I really ever had any major traction issues but even in 1st gear when I punch it hard there is next to no tyre scretch and it just takes off like a car possed!

                              The steering is much more direct also so I have to make sure I have the steering wheel pointed in exactly the right direction when boost hits around corners. For the first time I find myself having to really concentrate when pushing hard. Obviously the wider track is awesome around corners and I find myself taking some of my favourite twisties with more aproach speed!

                              Then there is the acceleration......... holy mother of God! That unsprung weight theory is seriously spot on

                              • Also the Wideband Air/Fuel ratio Gauge kit arrived today from Prosport!




                                I am replacing the fuel pressure gauge with it in the cabin and adding a ECS fuel pressure gauge in the engine bay. All to help maximise the Phase III tune!
