everyones speaking of the r32 like its not a viable option, stock maybe not, but put bi turbo in it, and good luck anyone catching. i think theres a utube vid with a bi turbo r32 flogging a ferarri, theres nothing wrong with that achievemnt.

this is hpa's effort, 0-60mph in 3.5secs and 575 horses anybody?

      Im not actually crazy..

Ill go back to my SS commodre with 450hp.. Clutch was giving up the ghost, the power steering in those cars are aweful. I had a sniff of an XR6T and I sold the SS. didnt want to keep spending on the SS.

Jumped into an XR6T.. Before long it was making 550hp. Then CV joints went, gearbox went 3 times in 3000km, the big fuel pumps were buzzing away like mad. I wasnt going to spend $8000 to beef up the box to handle the 900nm of torque so I sold it. I was sick of fast cars costing too much money..

I was going to buy a new little car and just use it as a daily drive. Then I stumbled across the polo which I saw had a turbo so at least it would be moderately enjoyable..

Then I modded up the Polo, now its not fast enough and Ive hit the wall with repsect to practical modifications. It feels solid, it feels streetable, its great on fuel, but it doesnt scare you when you drive it like the others did.

In the XR6T, putting the boot in whilst cruising at 110km/h (in the dry), it sounded like a freakin jet spooling up and when it hit full boost, losing traction at 110km/h, scating all over the place is a phenomenon that will never be seen in a Polo Gti.

Personally, buying and selling cars is the best way to loose money unless you are good at it...

Probably blown that 8k that it could have taken to improve the SS on depreciation of your GTI.

Its all a learning curve, but I agree its always nice to have new toys...

Well I'm sure that after your test drive and after you read the factory specs and researched possible mods, that you didn't think the Polo GTI could lose traction at 110km/h? So why are you still shocked? This is a funny thread

Not sure what the use of breaking traction at 110 km/h is??
Time to get another car that will I guess...

Start towing an overloaded trailer up hills and you'll get mega wheelspin in the polo.

P.S I don't "get" wheelspin. It's not really exciting, and it slows you down.
Its like the p-plate heroes in VN commodores doing burnouts and `drifting' through intersections. Why do it?
I'd much rather a car that hooks up and flings you at the horizon, in the same way I imagine a 911 would.

And yeah, this is a pretty funny thread. Going from a worked LS1 or XR6T to a 1.8L VW shopping trolley is always going to be a straight line disappointment. Through the twisties, on the other hand...

Depends on how you want to use these little monsters. If you want to drag every tom d1c and harry at the lights 550hp is more than enough. maybe a little too much. but for a track use the wheels will just spin out. excessive power is not the best for track. overall balance is. get a good set of tires, brakes and suspension work and you can kill most car out there.

I went to wakefield couple years ago and i could chase a few cars down in the mid speed corners but nit much down the straight. My mate who had a integra type r only had suspension work and he raped everything around. v8,v6, turbo, supercharger or N/A . sure they would pull away on the straight but in corners he would destroy them.

You guys in Australia are lucky!

You have access to lots of sports and impressive cars, with great power and good looking... and here in Brazil I'm playing with my VW Bug.

Unsafe at any speed, when I get inside of the car I have a discharge of adrenaline!

With my 27Kw engine, I can power slide all corners because the handling and the grip is amazing!

Buy a Bug and all your problems will be solved. You know why? Because it has so many problems, you won’t have time available to think in anything else!

Oh I forgot!! It is cheap too!!

Like I stated earlier the Integra Type R is an awesome machine.

Super fun, would buy one tomorrow if they didn't fetch so much money.

The std set up on those is awesome and with the vtec engine wurring up to 9,500rpm before hitting the redline they are good fun.

You have to trash them to get the grunt but run around 220bhp std aint bad for a lightweight car with supurb suspension.

Well spotted. Looks like a Gransport coupe, they are the best thing I've ever driven. It was red with creme leather. My hands were shaking after. Hehe.

I do enjoy that video, even though I find it very hard to believe that the engine is stock.
