  • Radiator Leaking

Hi guys ive found out that i have a leaking radiator when i got my car serviced a day ago. i am in my final year of warranty and am wondering if the dealer will fix it without charge. The problem is that i have a few modifications done. Ive got H&R Springs, Strut Brace and Forge Splitter along with APR reflash.
Im planning to take it to Barloword in Glen Waverly or Mentone. Anybody here had warranty work done with these dealerships? Will they fix my car under warranty? I have full service history but with audvolks. Any comments appreciared thanks

Balo at Glen will replace your radiator, got mine done there. Then have to bring it back because they didn't put the after run water pump on properly. Got that fix, and then have to bring it back again cos the whole front rad support crooked. Still not fix.

Any idea on price? Also how fast do they start leaking? Is it a dump followed by swearing or just drips?

Ok guys looked into this a bit more and Gary at PWR has come back with a rough price of $760 ex gst so $836 inc GST ex freight he also said if someone has a spare one lying around they would lov to get their hands on it to be able to offer as a part number.

So i think for a permament solution to this problem that price isnt bad at all especially considering PWR are renound for the quality of their products.

I wonder if PWR would also be intrested in doing a replacmement SMIC and/or a FMIC kit

I know they do a replacement SMIC for the Astra's

Has anyone had their Radiator replaced after warranty because it's a known problem? Or because they had it replaced already during warranty and it's failed again?

I had mine replaced during 2007 and it's now leaking again at 128K km. $300 for a new VW one, so even for two of them, I've got to question how much those PWR ones are worth ??? Has anyone bought a PWR one?
