thats a nifty setup u got there petrina!

did you just sit the shield inside the bottom part of the airbox? ... and how do you compare this setup to ur previous one??

now i'm not sure if i should bother getting the 90degrees bend anymore and do this one instead...

Not sure which setup is better....

The BMC pod is now sitting on top of the airbox.

Im worried that the 90 degree bend might be hampering the flow of air when compared to the filter that is straight off the maf...

However, saying that the Filter up in the engine bay may draw warmer air. Then its a point of how effective is the heat shield.

Ill leave it the way it is now. Its at least as good as the seat/panel filter combo down low but a bit better up top and with better induction noise.

Since adding the Seat intake section and filter, I've noticed less drop in pressure that I had previously put down to heatsoak.

It has not been very hot since I've put the parts in, but would the increaced airflow mean less heat into the system? Would the turbo not have to work as hard now?

Trying to validate what i've experienced...

Im no engineer so I wont comment but I noticed a difference with Seat intake and Panel filter as well. It felt that bit better throughout.

Try and Pod on the end and compare that as well.

Im really happy with my current intake setup now. Pod on end of Maf (with adaptor bolted up) and heat shield made up.

Lovely inducion noise, feels more powerful as well. What more could you want?

Petrina - looks great - would you still be able to fit a front strut brace if required?

Probably not to be honest but I dont have any intention in doing so.. Im hitting the corners slowly these days, only 2 points left on my license.
