Hi guys, so far the definites are: noone and Bruhme. So it would mean we would need another 2 more. If Bumpknuck and clubracer are still in, then we have an order.

Its a shame I didn't have my Polo when the last group buy was on...

Come on people, if you miss this one, looks like the next one will be a while...

I thought a website like Dub Addiction would like to list these... Seems to suit (and could plump out the 3 items they have for the Polo's).

Dub Addiction has sold a LOT of these. The only problem is as a business its not so easy to bring a product in at a competitive price. We have to pay import duty and GST. Whereas a small buy done on the side does not.

We started selling them at $165 inc GST
Then had to put the price up to $189 inc
Now the value of the euro is so strong that to bring them in would us cost close to what we were selling them for. plus Import duty of 10% plus GST of 10%
By the time we make a measly couple of dollars on them we would have to sell at $250 inc GST.
At the end of the day its just a piece of plastic and isnt viable to bring in anymore if we are going to have to sell it so high.

So yeah. when comparing prices overseas to those offered by local businesses you always need to keep in mind that any wholesale discount we may get (and on OEM stuff margins are low) will be negated by taxes

Hey Tim, Thanks for adding your perspective!

Yeah, understand the market is not ideal (especially as the 9N prob does not have a lot of new units left before the next generation takes over).

Its a shame i've only just got mine, looks like a lot of the group buys are long gone.

Nicedly worded mate. Can't agree more with what said. Business isn't easy these days and especially when there isn't a huge euro tuning scene in Australia,m it just makes business and availability of parts much harder and much more expensive.

Hi everyone, so far noone, bruhme and Y2008 is in for the intake kit. So one more to go and this will go through. This might be the last time I do this group buy as it seems that a lot of work is required and not many are wanting one anymore.

P.S. apologies Y2008 for leaving you out. My bad.

Just to let everyone know that the group buy for the intake kits have been finalised and the order has been put through. I have ordered an extra single kit if anyone is interested. Order should be arriving in 2 weeks time. Happy to take a deposit to reserve the avilable kit. Otherwise anyone who has missed out will have to wait for the next group buy of a minimum of 4 orders.

                      How much

                      200 all up (includes postage)

Not cheap, but you can blame Seat for that...

If you are quick you can get the last one on the current order, don't like the chances of there being another order soon (Low interest in this group buy).

PM Dave if you want in.

For those of you who have this installed, can you make a comment on the induction noise?

Im wanting a stronger spooling and induction noise, will this get me it?

I already have the K&N panel filter installed.

                        Cheers!

What other mods do you have?

I don't think it would make much difference on stock (looking at the change in airflow), but with the chip it provides more airflow, which would provide more noise.

Main change is smoother and faster spool, not peak power. I think if you have chipped GTI, I'd be getting this to match your panel filter.

If you want noise, I'd go for the forge splitter (I've got 1 on order from Rennenhaus). or the diverter (APR, Forge or some other brand (turbosmart?)

ive got a forge BOV already, would it make any difference to that on stock?

If noise is your priority, I think the pod is the way to go. Few DIY jobs done, all of them comment on the extra noise.

Okay guys, I've managed to order an extra 2 sets in total in case anyone would like one. Shplitt has already enquired and may take one so there's one more left. At this stage I'm not planning on bringing anymore in unless there is demand.
