Don't lose heart yet, it's the lap times that you want to see. There's no substitute for cubes at that speed (can't believe I said that, going to wash my mouth out).

What top speed did you get on the straight? Front end squirming heavily under braking too, tyres screaming mid corner and all on your first lap out haha.
            My top speed was 210km/h.

The tires and brakes were destroyed...

            I will post pictures soon.

going against a v6 with 510 NM torque (believe thats the base model, could have been otherwise), I'm not surprised. In the corners there was no competition.
                That wasn't the base model.

The driver wasn’t that good too, he was playing dirty on the corners.

Before I arrive on him, I saw the blue Subaru having a hard time to pass him.

                  • Damage Report!

Front tires at pieces, brand new brake pads vanish, rotors with little damage and blown turbo!

I’m happy with the turbo, it wait to blow in the next day.

Bonus! Chuck Norris! Brand new rental with only 200km.

                      • that is some serious scortching of the rotors. weren't you changing to a brembo rotor after wrecking the ones that came with the wilwoods? I can't recall what pads you're running, you reckon the pads were the cause of the damage to the rotor?

Don't see semi-slick tyres delaminate like that too often either... actually I've never seen or heard of that, usually only happens to street tyres after many laps.

The brake pads were Wilwood PB-10. They are the wrong ones for extreme conditions. They deteriorate very fast with hi-temperature. I’m changing to the Polymatrix B compound.

The rotors have only light scratches, nothing too deep. They were caused buy the “pad’s iron”. The pads didn’t last for 50 laps.

My tires are not semi-slick, they are regular street tires.

                            • You have only street tyres because semi slicks don't fit on the 18" wheel and under the guard correct?

I'm no expert, but wouldn't it be more beneficial to have better tyres than slightly bigger/better brakes?

I'm sure there are some awesome brakes that could fit under 17" wheels, while at the same time having a great track tyre...

I don't know if they don't fit, but I'm pretty sure they don't.
Semi-slick tire is expensive and don't last long.
It is a street car also, so probably I will need other set of wheels, space to store it, patience to jack and change it…
I prefer to spend money in a cheap tire. It is not a competition it is just fun.

                                But someday I will try!

Because that I choose big brakes, it is so much fun to see the passenger desperate face when braking inside the turn.
