I live in Mackay North QLD and having rung a few performance shops in town ( 2 of them) none will touch my Polo for a APR tune, so i have no choice but to drive the 1100km to brissie. So if i go, gotta make it worth the while..

Now this doesnt bother me, i have some time off work in Feburary and i have the cash to do it as well i just need to sort out exactly what im gonna do.

I have a 2008 Polo GTI with 7500km on the clock, so far im 98% sure of the APR chip, also looking at getting the APR downpipe and possibly a seat intake. Where abouts could i get a Front Mounted intercooler?

      Say i wanted to get
      APR chip
      APR full exhaust
      FMIC
      SEAT intake

What place in brissie could pretty much do all of those in 1 hit, and roughly how much? or should i just get a APR downpipe instead of the full exhaust?

      Thanks for any help..

Was just about to suggest Guy. Been talking to him via email just in the last few days and a great guy to deal with. They are APR central for want of a better word.

As far as I know, nothing but the intercooler piping was done by a VW specialist, just an exhaust shop.
That was my point - "If you aint got a commodore I aint much help" is pretty much what it is like here in little ol' Perf lol. We just dont have the population to support all these high performance shops you guys are so lucky to have over your side of the 'woods'.

Mozzy yeah I'm with you on the Perth summers. I'm ex-Melbourne where wait a couple of days and it'll be 13 degrees..again.
You'll enjoy Perth winter mornings thats for sure. Will keep you posted on the DP and HFC.
Yeah mate just been out 'n about in the cool evening and the difference the way the car was running tonight compared to earlier in the heat of the day is/was astonishing! Like chaulk 'n cheese. Virtually like having the tune turned off and on. For the last week or so since its heated up considerably I have been thinking something was not right with the car but its definately heat soak. Something I just didn't notice as much when in stock form. I'm definately going to have to get a FMIC at some stage because it frustrates me immensely.

Brian at Quattro Motors is the Perth APR rep,, I'm quite sure the prices he will quote you would be the same as those quoted by Guy in Brissy

Having a look around i noticed that APR do a FMIC and so does Forge

Anybody got either one? i was probably leaning towards the Forge one but would like to hear other suggestions/opinions also.

a stock XR6T intercooler fits well without cutting the bodywork (or so i have read in other threads)

perhaps look into that with some custom piping?

could be a much cheaper option

if you wanted to buy a stock XR6T or typhoon intercooler, best place to buy would be fordforums.com.au I'm sure there are lots of spare ones going cheap on there
