it's all about how you drive. If i'm not careful I can easily spin the wheels in the mk 1 and audi, neither have heaps of power. But if i drive carefully, no such issues.
I've heard/read the stock conti's are bad, but unless they're complete rubbish, I wouldn't bother, imo. Doesn;t rain that much as it isCan't be worse than silica based 155's on a ford laser! hah

I know this question must have been answered a million times before but i still don't seem to have a clear answer in my head. Does the POLO accommodate tyres wider than 205 without rubbing?

Wet weather only bothers me because the only time we seem to get any wet weather is the proceeding days after I have just washed my car. I don't think I've ever had a full week where the R remained clean after I washed it.sigpic

The semi-slicks are great in the dry, but obviously not so good in the wet. Interestingly, I think it was the Pirelli P-zreo actually did worse in the wet than the semi-slicks?2007 Audi RS4 with: APR ECU Upgrade; JHM Quick Shifter; Milltek Catback and Downpipes; KW V3 Coilovers; Argon Creative Carbon Fibre Splitters

mm. bridgestone re001s came out on top.(nice work jj)
also for wet weather the asymmetric eagle f1s dominate. pretty much as good performance in the wet as in the dry.. says something about their dry performance though...87' MK2 GTI
13' MK7 TDI
