agree. 200kw in a pog is too much.
plus u will need better suspension setup, bigger brake and heart!
a car should handle well enough first to hav more power imo

It really picked up speed over the last 300m .... Nissan 1400 utes (rear wheel drives and very light) with Toyota 1600 4AGZE motors with T3/T4 turbos were doing low-mid 10s @ 200-210km/h, so trap speed at 400m was pretty close. In gear rolling runs with those same little utes had nothing in it either way.

There were a few Mk1's running 20V 1.8T motors (suitably modified) and most power I ever saw from 1 was 347kw atw with liberal doses of nitrous.

The stage 3 kit from APR (and others) are good for around 260kw atf and is as high as you realistically can take the stock internals. For any more you do need to start doing serious internal upgrades.......

It becomes a very expensive hobby and the ratio on extra power returns for every $ spent turns nasty.
Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...

          mmmmm 123mph.

Did you use slicks? With that power to weight your mph should have been 128+. I guess traction was the major issue.

Dont you miss not having that faster car? I couldnt live without it.

No slicks (Toyo Proxes T1Rs only) so traction was a MAJOR issue .... all the time ..... nothing like wheelspin in 3rd gear at will while moving .....

Do I miss it .... for sure .... would I do it again .... probably .... much to my wife's dismay.

Every time I see a nice 2 door Mk1 she has to physically restrain me.
