I test drove a 350Z before buying a RX-8 -- the predecessor to the Polo. It totally underwhelmed me -- noisy, harsh, a naff interior and not very comfortable -- so I hope the 370Z is much improved.

my office manager has just bought a black 350Z track edition (brembo brakes, orange/tan leather, upgraded suspension??). he says he loves it to bits and he has already ordered a twin turbo set-up for it. can't remember the figures he got quote but bloody ridiculous (does 440kW at the fly sound about right, that rings a bell for some reason).

dont know exactly what they r going to call it but the base model evo at 40k if it ever gets here

from what i was reading on it the 40k base evo is not able to be road registered

edit: next car...drive polo until can afford a porsche .....thats the dream atleast

This is always a tough one (see where other threads have deteriorated to)

2009 BMW 135i

or

2009 S3 (only problem is the new A3/S3 is scheduled for 2011)

or

2010 Golf GTI-R (we will not see it in 2009)

or

Audi Q5 2.0T (it has a mechanical AWD not 4-Motion and weighs almost the same as the S3/A3 quattro/Golf GTI-R) a real Q car.

or

2009 Audi TT-S (if I can stretch my budget that far and get finance minister to sign off on it)

how about the Q5 3.0 TDI? that's apparently the fastest Q5. a chip for that would have it reaching 600nm...

thats true, it'd look pretty schmick at night with those LED taillights as well.

I saw a really nice 240z today, shame the 350z is nothing like its predecessor but I guess the same can be said about the Golf GTI anyway...

Have a look at the latest Wheels magazine where they compare 4 coupes. 135i, TT-S, 350Z & RX8 GT.

135i takes it but very close.

Interestingly, have a look at the long gears in the 135i and imagine what it would do with 285kw/550NM and no speed limiter.
