i would have to say in a straight line, as said before by myself and Neil, V2 feels faster! it may not necessarily be faster but the stronger torque pull definitely makes it feel it. also, i seem to be getting up to speed quicker than previous.

This article is a good read (and funny, ie ricer vs redneck

but then again we have the different driving styles, tyres, fuel etc.Originally posted by Whubbsie View PostI think we need two people to go to the drags one V1 one V2 to find out for certian.
it needs to be the one car.... go to the drags on V1, get V2 installed during the week, and go again the next week with V2. its the only way.

For what? .2 or .4 of a second?Originally posted by [-Polo GTI-] View Postit needs to be the one car.... go to the drags on V1, get V2 installed during the week, and go again the next week with V2. its the only way.
So people can say? "My car is faster by .2 of a second over 400m's. I am the best."

i ran out of time but i was gonna add.... if it is only a small margin, given the discrepancies of different conditions on different days, it can be called even. it would only be a real claim if the diffrence in V1/V2 times was somewhat significant. even .5sec+ on the drag strip is significant.Originally posted by Flaps View PostFor what? .2 or .4 of a second?

anyone know any 150m strips we could use, that would be the real test!

I'd say thats more the dyno/dyno operator rather than the cars being that different.Originally posted by GT3 View PostNo two cars are identical, ..notice how many base dynos with the same tune vary by 5-8kw. So a V2/GIAC comparison would be inaccurate and frankly, spliting hairs

And the APR cost is a lot more than the Giac , is the extra 2-3 kw worth the $300 or so ?

But his car felt faster because of the early torque.Bug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution

3kw for $300 is a fair bit considering you'd pay up to and beyond $2000 for a full exhaust system that may only gain 5-10kw.Originally posted by Bug_racer View PostAnd the APR cost is a lot more than the Giac , is the extra 2-3 kw worth the $300 or so ?FOR SALE
