  • Boot release not working

    Hey all,

Anyone else had the issue where the boot release doesn't work? I lift the latch but it doesn't operate the mechanism.. When it's particularly mischievous I have to press the boot release button on the remote to open it.

I suspect it's a contact not being made but anyone else had it also?

If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)

If it is like the 9N3 there is a plate that holds the switch inside the hatch that is held in place with 3 bolts. Over time the bolts work loose and the plate falls off and the button isn't pushed when you lift the lever. Easiest fix I've ever had on the car. I bolted it back together (with a bit of Locktite) and it has been good ever since. Mr Goolgle has more on it. Just a thought.
