2015 Polo GTI, what are you paying?

Hey teflon,

I just ordered a white Polo GTI MY17 in manual with Lux pack for 33k.

Caved and ordered one today too. Fairly much the same price at 32.8 and going by this thread people in Melbourne were getting 32.5 to 33 roughly.

Same spec as yours and it docks in Melbourne on the 22nd of November. It was actually destined to be the demo for the hawthorn dealership. So few manuals around so I bit the bullet and bought it. Plus it was the colour and spec I wanted. And I didn't want someone else to snap it up before me. This will be my daily driver... looking forward to it!

Yes looking forward to seeing what it looks like and the lights too. Should be an awesome daily and if I get lazy with the manual I'll switch over to the family hauler instead. Pretty excited. Glad the specs I wanted weren't too long a wait.

Congrats teflon, We should have the identical car: White, manual, Lux Pack!!!! My plans pretty quickly are to tint and lower it. Getting closer and closer and my current daily driver is falling apart and intentionally causing me grief because it's being traded in!! Delivery day can't come any sooner.

Yeah when you told me your specs I thought you'd ordered the one manual car coming to the Solitaire group! I don't think there are many manuals heading to SA any time soon ... apparently there was someone else enquiring - of course could have been sales talk, but considering the lack of stock and the similar price to yours I fairly much said yes. Might have been able to push for more because this is my third car from them, but they've been pretty good to me with numerous test drives this year as I explored manual options. Hope your daily driver serves you until delivery date! Post up pics of the interior when you get it.

Welcome! Glad I'm not the only one who's ordered one as a weekend run around. Although I think I'm going to end up driving it most places because of its economy and fun compared to my daily! You make me feel less guilty about my order

Took delivery of my GTI today, could be happier! It's got amazing performance and handling, I was planning on springs and ECU flash but now I've driven it I think I'll hold off. Stacks of power and rides so well.

Haha, yeah no need to feel guilty - they're a great little car. I had a second car which was getting a bit long in the tooth so we just needed something that would do the weekend shopping run and that we could take the dog to the beach etc but wasn't boring to drive. I looked at a few cars but for the money the GTI Polo is a very competent package - I was surprised with how strong it feels in gear and the interior is quite nice for that price point. I decided not to bother with the Lux pack as don't need the upgrade but my wife wanted the sat Nav and sensors so we did a deal and pick up shortly. Now we have two VAG cars in the family! I'll post some pics when we pick it up.

Well not exactly, needs to have an LED upgrade

Can't wait to get my interior LEDs now that the fogs are done, such a massive improvement.

I need to get the annoying picture out of my head that someone said about the stock springs making the Polo look like a tractor

32 would tempt me. Comparing this to a second hand brz for 25 and the interior etc feels so much better for daily duties. Of course the two drive quite differently but the polo is still a lot of fun.

I paid $31k for a MY17 with Driver assist a few weeks ago. Fairly happy with that price.
