2015 Polo GTI, what are you paying?

Jus picked up the GTI n Friday and noticed 2 things-1) the voice control needs a dealer activation code ... WTF and 2) the DSG seems to jar when going from 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th... Any one have this experience ? Does it smooth out after a while.. It only had 19klms on the clock when we got it so not sure if it needs some wearing in

You will need to read the whole thread, this South Africa member claims a software update fixed it but he has not been heard from since. Others have found a software update did not work.

My car has done it maybe 6 times in 18 months so it's no big deal for me and I love the DSG. It only happened at full throttle 2nd to 3rd, using the paddles and the revs. were not real high, around 3500-4000rpm, so max torque.

I can go full throttle in S mode and 2nd to 3rd is smooth and quick as at any revs. - can you try this on yours in S and update me?? thank you. I never use D.

From what I've heard the VW voice control is supposed to be pretty terrible.

You can use the button fine with Android Auto with a long press, not sure about Apple Carplay as I've never tried it.

Hi all, first post on this forum. Looking to purchase my first vw and new/near new vehicle. The polo gti is an impressive little package and will suit us just fine.

I was originally looking at Clio RS but the wife wasn't too keen on the ride and the heavily bolsted seats so that lead me to the polo and wow what a better package in comparison.

I am just after some advice on price, we are in Hobart and they have a white my16 one with the luxury pack. I haven't started bargaining just yet but they currently have it listed at pretty much rrp.

I am just wondering what kind of discount you could expect on a my17 to a my16 and are there any end of year sales worth waiting for?

Yeah for sure, At the moment it seems that $34,359 is the going discounted price, i spoke to a few dealers in Brisbane and they all came down to that figure give or take a few hundred. I have since spoken to a friend of a friend who's a dealer and he said pretty much the same as VW have no factory bonus on the GTI and almost all are being sold off the boat before they arrive. The only way to get a deal is a no option car thats in stock, found a few of those that you can get sweet deals on, Found a Red DSG with no options for $27,500.

Just wondering which dealer this was at? As much as I want a sunroof and those lux seats if it will save me 6 grand......

For a my16 you should be able to negotiate the lux pack in for free. So get a retail price for a base model drive away then work it back to there with options

I got mine from the Gold Coast VW dealer so a bit far for you to go, haha. If the car is in stock at the dealer you will always get a better deal as they want to get it off there finance floorplan as soon as possible. The hardest thing is finding a car with the options you want, i had to wait to get a car with the lot in the colour i wanted but i'm very happy i got the extras, the LED lights are amazing and the leather and alcantara seats are very good.

Well if you want to talk to them ask for Kylie the sales manager, (Frizelles Volkswagen Gold Coast) i know her well from buying my Polo and i can put in a good word if you want to buy from up here, having said that i'm sure you will be able to get a similar deal locally.

Not sure but i know i had to pay extra for my extended warranty, about $1500 for extra 2 years

Might be a bargaining tool. I gather it would be transferable to future owners, my main thought is it would help resale.
