Nice work and thanks for the info. This was for the manual, no options, standard paint right (from your post earlier in the thread)? Dealers must hate threads like this

Yep, Man, no options in white.
Yeah I would assume so. Most dealers give the usual "we have no margins in the car and its just come out" BS. Most average joe's will listen and pay full RRP.
Thats good!
Really good actually... mine only has the LUX... lol
Regards
I wasn't sure, as it all happened unexpectedly. We went to the dealer to buy a Mk7 Golf R for a friend, and the wife liked the look of the Polo GTI, and since we were already buying one car (friend) on the day, they said they would do a ripper deal on a Polo GTI, fully loaded.
Today i tried to negotiate a deal on a Manual GTI in white no options. North Shore VW are offering a sale at the moment which is first 3 years of servicing FREE.
I offered $29900. Best they could do is $30 985 including the first 3 years of servicing for free....they wouldn't budge, they even let me walk out the door after I offered $30 500!
Would like to know peoples opinion? Should i go back and buy it or can i do better!!! : )
Nothing is free so they have incorporated the cost of servicing in the price.
Is it a dealership that you would normally use for servicing?
I wouldn't go back as they'll know tey have you hooked - wait for the call. Plenty of other dealers to get a price from - you don't have to get service or warranty from the dealer you buy from.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

I have never owned a VW. The dealer is close to me so would be convenient to use them. I have to use them to get the 3 years of servicing.
Sound like a reasonable price? I was surprised they wouldn't budge over $500! Guess being such a new car they know they will get someone else if i don't go ahead
