Manual or auto? I paid 31.5k driveaway for an MY16 DSG with DAP before it was even off the boat. My dealer was complaining about having difficulty shifting MY15 stock too. Have a ring around some of the Sydney dealers.

It was auto which is what I needed cause the wife doesn't understand that manual is better.

Thanks guys so I went to Denlo VW Parramatta on my lunch break which was meant to be 1hr and 2.5 hrs later we had a deal!

That's where I went. No other dealer would even match their price. Watch out if you're financing though. Their BM was a bit shifty.

They were asking me if I wanted finance I said no thanks this transaction is in cash lol.

Yeah I couldn't believe how much Barloworld Mascot was trying to stiff me, I was getting follow up calls which I just never answered. They gave me a better trade in price, DAP as well as the Lux pack that I wanted for cheaper and the whole experience was just so much better!

Going over the spec sheet. Noticed that the MY16 doesn't have Adaptive Cruise Control, nor Front Assist with City Emergency Brake, both of which are optional on the Comfortline (Driving comfort package). Is this right? I thought VW were going to have these features on all the top of line models?!

No need for Adaptive Cruise on the GTI.. 95% of cars are behind us

Hi all, new to this forum so apologies for the random question.

Are the rear seatbelts on the new Polo GTI automatically tensioned? The reason I ask is that with previous non VW cars and kids booster seats, you always had to pull the belt all the way then let it back until it was locked in place, which then didnt allow kids to move forwards as belt was locked.

Ive tried this on the VW today and it doesnt seem to lock and allows movement. Manual is a bit vague so figured I'd ask the question here.

Bought one for the wife a few weeks ago. Nice little car, I'd say "swift" as opposed to "fast", but a very spritely city car. A bit small inside for me but perfect for her.
I'm not a fan of stop/start. Also, the gearbox is way too eager to shift early, and combined with an accelerator pedal that you've gotta almost stand on to get to the floor, is a little frustrating coming from my Golf. Other than that, great little car. Good tech as well with the media system and reverse camera standard now.

Both Total and Castrol's oil guides state 5.7 litres incl. oil filter so I would go with that.
