Has anyone experienced a sort of cracking/clicking noise when reversing or rolling backwards in their GTI? Sounds like it's coming from the front of the car and happens intermittently. Mine is the MY15 model. Been doing it for a few month now, it's due for its first service soon, i will have to ask them about it...any ideas or suggestions?Comment

Well Hill Start assist is there to stop you going backwards so perhaps the noise is that coupled with what Mi16 Man said re the pads/calipers.Comment

My old gen 3 Subaru Libertys both made that noise - was the hill start assist system. Never caused a problem.2018 Golf GTI, Manual - gone.

Not that great of a deal at all, considering the standard (free) $2,500 upgrade with the adaptive suspension in the MY16. Tell them to try harder, especially seeing as dealer delivery should be no more than $600 (mechanic tops up the fluids, car wash, put the plates on, slap a few stickers of the dealership and the admin fee for the secretary to call you saying your car is ready for pickup).Originally posted by DubSteve View PostLast edited by Hail22; 12-10-2015, 10:39 AM.Comment

You shouldnt really be paying anymore than 29 flat for a MY16 manual so work the deal up from there with options ect.Comment

Has anyone disabled Stop/Start on their MY16 using VCDS. Is it using the Temperature or Voltage method as detailed in the Golf Mk 7 threads or something totally different?MY19 Polo GTi 2.0 DSG

Manual or auto? I paid 31.5k driveaway for an MY16 DSG with DAP before it was even off the boat. My dealer was complaining about having difficulty shifting MY15 stock too. Have a ring around some of the Sydney dealers.Originally posted by DubSteve View PostComment
