6R Polo GTI Middle Muffler Delete

I saw a black Polo GTI today that sounded a lot like the ones with the Resonator removed going down Springvale Road at about 17:40. Couldn't manage to get a big enough traffic gap to catch them though.

OK, the 6 cars above have been booked into Castle Hill Exhaust for centre muffler removal.

Time: Saturday, 3rd November 8:00am.
Address: Unit 68, 4 Hoyle Ave, Castle Hill, 2154
Cost: $80 each (basic job only - discuss with installer on the day for any fancy flanges etc)

They have allowed 40mins per car. Please show up at 8am. They close at midday. So you'll be home to your wives/girlfriends by lunchtime.

I have already paid a $200 deposit for the booking since their hoist will be not available for other jobs.
So please, if you have to drop out, find someone to take your spot.


Any other polo owners wanting to join us on the day and chew the fat in the car park is welcome. I will have a VCDS cable/laptop on hand.

Wow, logged on to VWWC for the first time in a while, only to see this thread. I must say it feels good to be a trendsetter. (despite the fact I blatantly took the idea from a random German bloke)

Having had the resonator out for 2 months now I've had precisely 0 problems with O2 sensors, police or any other concernes that have been raised. I still find myself driving around with the windows down every day and also upshifting far later than normal.

Just a heads-up to any Brisbane owners wanting this done, Rob Bliss exhausts at Geebung charged me $58 for the job, quite a bit better than what everyone else has been quoted down south.
