That post confused me... don't you want 18" Detroits ???

They won't be 18 as I'd say the dealer made an error. Only 17 on Polo GTI.

I wonder if the dealer is just sourcing a cheap pair of replicas maybe, or the numpty salesperson thought they would be clever and just put some golf ones on so you thought you were getting an MY13.

Like I said, I really hope you get what you ordered but unless your contract specifically says 2012 Volkswagen Polo GTI, MY13, x Door Flash Red, I'd prepare yourself....

Will definitely check that my contract states it being a MY13...Shall I look at the build number in the engine bay at pick up tomorrow as well? If it's June or later, than it'll most likely be a MY13 right?

MY13s are arriving now, so its possible... and yes, only 17s. The 17inch Detroits are the only MY13 change on the Polo GTI.

Unless you know the cutoff week then the build plate will just give you the build week.

Wasn't the engine changing to a CTHE from CAVE also? I don't really mind I just wanted an my13 build don't know if I like the wheels yet!!

no, CTHE is a change for later in the year...

Some MY13s would end up having it yes, but it's not a defining feature of the MY13. I think the CTHE won't end up in Polo's until September?

Finally picked up my car yesterday from the dealer's and loving it!!! My car is definitely a MY13 (all the paper work etc confirms this) and of course, the 17" Detroit wheels!!!

However, I checked the build date and it says May 2012...
