Also worth noting for people considering a cradle, it will actually use the external roof antenna even if you don't have rSAP - boosting your phone's reception.
A passive antenna is in the base/cradle and that connects to the roof antenna, it's one of the main differences between System 8 and System 9.

That's to be expected. BT has some pretty heavy compression with it. The MDI would access the iPod interface (which means you can play around with playlists etc)
That also means you might lose some controls if you use a 30pin ipod MDI cable with the new iPhone 5's Lighting adaptor. You'd probably need to source an iPhone 5/Lightning cable from VW as the lightning-30pin adaptor apparently doesn't support this ipod connectivity (as in the ipod interface - will still play audio)

Anyone have a photo of the bury 9 iphone holder in their car? I'm thinking of getting one, but all the display pictures make the holder look kind of chunky and ugly?

Would be nice to see how it looks inside the actual car!

This thing has bugged me since I saw it on pickup day.... I dont like the fact that we need to spend money to remove something we dont want....

I have the BT working in my MY12.5 Polo GTI connecting directly to the inbuilt BT. Basically, go to the BT setting in the MFD using the keys on the steering wheel and delete the touch adapter from known devices. The inbuilt BT now connects to my Iphone 4s and HTC One X bypassing the touch adapter and works for calls and streaming music.

I would love to get the codes removed so I dont have the touch adapter sitting there, but an empty cradle is just as ugly. what to do.........

I ended up ordering from techbuy.com.au I found a couple of other places cheaper but once you added freight as well they were coming out nearly the same and I have purchased several things in the past from these guys without hassle.

Same, and I only picked mine up on Friday. I'm going the phone cradle so at least it will have some use. Currently I sit my phone in the cup holder which isn't ideal
