im not sure if anyone's necessarily ''targeting'' APR, per se, but rather saying "there's lots of good feedback, but there's some not-so-good feedback, too".

i know that Guy feels as though there are those on here (myself, even, perhaps? even though i was talking about the satisfaction of other tunes' customers more than bagging APR) that are targeting and attacking APR, but...

good and evil, ying and yang.... the world needs balance. i doubt that the ''negativity'' towards APR on watercooled would even come close to the anti GIAC and REVO posts i've read on OzAudi, haha.

but as Blitzen stated, your money, your car.

now, whatever anyone says about a tuner (good AND bad), MOST MOST MOST people will walk away and still have smiles on their faces years later.

It's a 9N3 but a 1.9 TDi with EDC 15 so why do you say it depends on this and then later say all 9N's are $1350? Not being antagonistic but trying to reconcile your statements.
If your Polo is a 9N, EDC15, the price without warranty is $1350, with 12 months warranty (depends on age and mileage) it's $1450. The price list is dated 3/11/2010.

If you have an incorrect quote, send it to me & I'll take it up with your dealer on your behalf. All our dealers have the same price list, so the price does not change from dealer to dealer. If you were incorrectly quoted, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

Send me a PM or email with the details & I'll get it sorted for you.

Thanks for the offer Guy but I have since gone with an alternative tuning company - I won't name the dealer openly but I can pm you if you still want to follow this up.

I would have enquired around October/November 2010 - not sure if the date you posted is 3rd Nov 3010 or 11th Mar 2010

6R Polo GTI propective and current owners may want to pay some attention to the 1.6T Polo's racing in China right now and soon in the WRC (see VWW homepage). This is the future of the top model Polo IMO.

More powerful and cheaper to build ... I say watch this space .... 6-12months from now we will have a new top Polo powered by that 1.6T.
Current: 2023 MY23 T-Roc R Lapiz Blue + Beats Audio + Black pack 2018 MY19 Golf R manual Lapiz Blue + DAP) 2014 Amarok TSI Red (tuned over 200kw + lots of extras) 2013 Up! manual Red 2017 Polo GTI manual Black Previous VWs and some others ...

            Hasn't this been discussed before?

I disagree. I think that will be reserved for the Polo R and S1/RS1.

Ahhh, in that case I agree. Lol. Sorry my bad, it's just that this thread is discussing GTI so I just assumed. I will order one the day they announce this new model!

I still believe that this 1.6T engine won't see the light of day on a road Polo, just like we won't see the engine in the current Citroen DSG WRC in the DS3 road car IMO.

Actually a detuned version of that exact 1.6T of the WRC Citroen is available in road going DS3s .....

The engine in the DS3 is jsut the 1.6 L turbo found in alot of PSA and MINI model. No big deal.
