POLO 6R headlamps

hello everyone, forgive me i am a newbie here!

I own a 2010 Polo 6R. I have been literally searching the whole net for a pair of Polo Double Barrel headlamps. My
polo model comes with a cheaper set of headlamps which look like this (Yeah they suck in all their glittering chrome) :-


And i obviously am looking for the much better looking double barrel headlamps sold in Australia and Europe. Is there any
source in Australia or any member on this forum selling a new or used set of Headlamps.

Also i wish to know whether i would be able to just retrofit them in my vehicle. The cheaper headlamp has a H4 main bulb
while the double barrel lamps have 2 H7 bulbs. Would they be compatible with my car or would i need to fiddle around with
my electrical systems?

I have the Milltek Turbo back on my Polo, and it does make a world of difference.

It's due to the new, MED 17.5 ECU being fitted to these cars, the first build polos with the MED 17 could have it done, the MY11.5 update models (also rumoured to have an even newer, MED17.5.5) had it disabled....

I think he means the normal headlights without all the chrome, ala http://www.ausmotive.com/images/VW-Polo-01.jpg

Those chrome lights have the indicator and daylight bulb swapped too

sorry to confuse with the term double barrel, i meant the normal headlamps available on polos sold in Australia.
My best bet has been ebay uk but international shiping is a problem! Surprisingly these headlamps are very hard to find on ebay.
I could see only 3 to 4 and that too used ones with broken top lugs!

They're nice. But they're also the most expensive intake I know of on the market. Even more expensive than the "Stage 2" intakes which also replace the pipe back to the MAF/turbo...

Very true. Did the calculation and it was about $1000 AUD.

Gavs, does that mean if we had MED17.5.5 we could enable dial sweeping? Cause it sure looks smart...turning of the face lighting, sweeping the red dials, and then re-illuminating the dash

The 77TSI does not use a Bosch MED ECU so if that were the case then I don't think it could be enabled. I might get DNA Tuning UK to have a look into it for the next 77TSI I carry out an upgrade on.

I personally would have thought that would be more to do with recoding the instrument cluster.
