Calledmy dealer today - everything appears to be complete for delivery in the VW system, but no details yet of transport date gfrom Patrick's. Looking like a slim chance I'll take delivery this Sayurday

Spoke to mine today too, apparently it's only just gotten into the hands of patrick's pre-delivery today?!?! So if that's true, the car sat at the docks for 6 days!

Oh man....that sucks. I allowed for this possibility and added a few extra days, still hoping for Saturday week pick-up! On the other hand, I wouldn't trust anything that YOUR particular dealership says, you know who I mean Gav

Guy who works here used to work at the pre delivery yard and said something is more than likely amis but if the dates thay gave me are true, we wouldn't get our cars until the friday AFTER queens birthday!

Just got a call from my dealer, my car is all finished at patrick's and is now ready to be seheduled to be transported. Very slim chance I will get it this Saturday and will know whether or not that is the case tomorrow morning. failing that I'll be collecting it the following Saturday as have difficulty getting there during the week.

Hey Frostee, can you just find out for the rest of us Melbournians how soon you could potentially get it? I've been quoted 21 days from departing the ship to in my hands including a safety margin but damn, that's a loooooong time Seeing as we technically bought from the same dealer and their pre-delivery facility is the same one in Campbellfield, would be nice to know how long I should expect to wait because I WILL be taking the day off if the first available day is a weekday!

+1, that is what I did, boss was OK with it, only condition was that I had to stop by the office to show him the car

Sent an email to the person I am dealing with (personal fleet) and got the response of the car was built early May 2011. Late June or early July arrival time expected. 3 weeks from the docks to the dealership, then another week of adding the optional extras. Delivery expected early July. I was hoping to have it by late June. Not happy Jan
I would ha.ve liked the VIN number so that I could track it on the high seas!

No worries, will do. Have asked my dealer to let me know when it is available just in case I can collect it early. Will let you know as soon as I know.
