Looking at the shipping estimates, even including arrival at port etc, yours is booked in as 11 weeks until it arrives in Port of Melbourne. VW factors an 8 week lead time from departing factory until delivery to customer so fingers crossed, yours might arrive the first week of may!

Well you learn something every day. I had no idea they are transported by train to Germany. This is really great news. Seems I am very fortunate with the way my delivery seems to be coming together. Will keep an eye out re confirmation it's on the ship and will let all know.

Not having actually seen a Polo GTI with the sunroof and having ordered one, I'm pretty happy with the look from this photo.

My Dealer made an interetsing comment in an e-mail update to me today - he said "You’ll have the only sunroof GTi for a pretty long while, nice!!"

I don't know what this means and have asked for clarification, but sounds more and more to me like that letter I wrote to VW Germany made heaven and earth move.

Contacted my dealer today and got the NADCON screen dump and a VIN!!

Excellent news payno, all these updates are getting me far too excited, must take a shot of Jim Beam to calm nerves. Hey Frostee, the ship will be traveling along the African coast so I'd be more worried about those damn Terradactyl Turds, one fell swoop and that will be the end of that.....ohhh, make sure that they close your sunroof...could get really messy otherwise

Haven't got the NADCON print out but from what my dealer's been updating me with over the past month, looks like my GTI is coming over on the second shipment scheduled to arrive at the dealer in late september.

Mate, get the NADCON dump, seems more and more customers are being told fibs by dealers, I am normally fairly trusting but more and more, I am distrusting VW dealers and their sales staff.

NADCON will give you proper estimates of timing.
