Sorry to bring bad news, but I was speaking to a collegue whos' son is working over in Germany with VW. Apparently they shut down a plant (or section of a plant) due to a shortage of engine parts, so some delays may be stretched even further, unless we've already felt them........

Well, I guess all will be revealed in the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed

Ordered my Polo GTI with metalic paint (reflex silver) as the only option on Jan 29th. Was told it would be a Nov/Dec delivery. Is this still true?

Has anyone been on the VW site in New Zealand? Just noticed that one of the options available for the Polo GTI are the Detroit 17" wheels. On top of that, they can buy a Scirroco R.

Thinking of our NZ brothers over there at this time...all the best guys.

Haven't heard anything yet from my dealer gavs. Should have the latest NADCON update soon though Hopefully the "Frozen Period" will thaw out pretty soon! hehehe...

My car is ready to pick up BUUTTT it's in Newcastle and I'm in Melbourne.
Pick up is Thursday and will be here Thursday (10th) at the latest.

Don't be surprised that the date of production is the date that your ststus changes, seemed to happen a bit with the Mk6 GTI and R...

Received a message from the dealer saying my 29th of Jan, 2011 Polo GTI 5 door order (metalic silver) has been moved forward to late september from a late dec/early jan. yay!

It's amazing how we can all still get so excited about these dates, yet we still have to wait an age for the cars! Fingers crossed for you gladiator it gets here sooner than september! (Just not before mine in June.... )

After 164 days of waiting I learned today that I only have 3 more days till delivery; can't wait!

Seems like the NADCON updates are moving at a glacial pace, I'm sure that global warming is the culprit again?

Hopefully the lack of options on the order should cut a couple more months off the wait (just metalic paint).

Didn't anyone tell you that VW actually send out a mining team to source the metal for that paint?
