Haven't seen any build dates for panoramic sunroof GTIs yet. All being held for 3rd Q?

Mine has a panoramic sunroof and is currently scheduled for week 10 build and delivery late May

Just spoke to my Dealer who is just back from vacation. I wanted him to check that the info I got from VWA re week 13 build was reflected in their system. I got great news. Seems it's better than week 13 as the system shows surrent planned build of wek 10 and desired build of week 8. Current estimate for exit from the factory is mid March, so all being well my car should be here late May. I'm thrilled!

Frostee and payno can you let us know at what stage in the NADCON your cars are at? Nice to know as mine is still indicating a mid July delivery, mine is still at Current SGW Determination stage. Perhaps the 5drs are being made first as a production run? Anyway, it sounds like good news for you guys

I've shot off a note to my Dealer asking a couple of things (coppying here what I've requested);

1. That the NADCON car configuration definitely has all the options that I have ordered? Specifically;
• Comfort Package
• Panoramic Sunroof
• Audio Package RCD510
• Bi-Xenon Headlights

It’s just I’ve heard mixed reports about availability of the Panoramic Sunroof. My vehicle order was already in the system when I committed to it and the addition of the sunroof was agreed at the time of ordering. I just want to be 100% sure that the sunroof is definitely included in the build.

2. Can you also please let me know what the current NADCON status is?

Hey Frostee,
I was getting a little concerned that some people were getting their builds sooner than me, considering I placed my order the week after the launch last year. So I contacted my dealer, and...."I have seen the light...and it burns" the dates of the NADCON have changed for the better Handover to production is now 5/03/2011 (was 2/04/2011), arriving Melbourne 16/06/2011 (was 8/07/2011). The dealer said that these dates are still in flux but should be firmer once the car actually gets onto the production line. Hopefully the goods news will keep-ona-comin.

Yeah - all those dates "in the list" are on the "ETA Data" page - not confirmed dates - not even the production date. When you have a confirmed production date, it's actually printed on another page!

As for people ordering after you having their cars built before you. This happens, and hopefully for obvious reasons. It depends on parts stock and colour runs etc. For example, if there won't be any Xenon's one week, other's will go first so that the factory stays at maximum capacity.

I guess I was referring mainly to Frostee and payno who have a similar spec car. payno, I try to get a NADCON printout emailed to me from my dealer every 1-2 weeks, says he doesn't mind doing it at all, that's what they're there for, to look after customers. Things can change pretty quickly, as my previous post has shown.

I have copy of the NADCON screens and confirm sunroof is definitely on there. Last entry in NADCOM is Arrival At Final Destination shown as 31 May. It shows as exiting production on 15 March. I'm happy

Great stuff Frostee, mine are in red. I'm thinking that my dealer was a little lazy and inputted the order near christmas though I signed the contract a week after launch I will feel a whole lot better when it's on the production line!!!!!

Don't forget about the contract cooling off thingy (that exists for cars right?), because that can delay them putting it in the system.

Oh and remember guys... until each of those steps have passed, each of those dates are ETAs!
(There's usually a dot on the NADCON screen to show which one is "active" - from those dates I could guess that Frostee is at Allocation or Handover to production and GTI Joe is at SGW).
