How are you planning to mount it in your PGTI?

It does come with a magnetic mount Frostee, but if I can modify a mount to fit in the space under the aircon controls or find a mount that clamps onto the front windscreen pillar, that could be another options. The other unit I was considering was the Garmin Nuvi 3790T which was similar in pricing but the Tom Tom had the world maps, and a bigger screen that was not as reflective in sunlight.

I payed $100 landed for a generic Chinese eBay special, hav got iGo 8 and oze explorer on it currently and the best thing, 6" screen for $100, not fussed if it goes bung in another 12 months

GTIs dont come with privacy glass (thank god)

in the specs list it just says thermal insulating as standard doesn't it? no privacy etc.

I ended up with a white 5dr 77TSI. Was a real internal debate about Red vs White. All my cars have been red, white or grey/silver - I'm due for a white car so I got one plus they're cooler (temp wise) in summer.
