Hi Payno, I put my VIN into the cargo ID field and got nothing back! How did you conclude I was on the ship?????

Ooops I was using VIN rather than chassis.

I am on the ship. Loaded at 4.50pm

I'm sure it has to be total VIN#

Cannot believe that they only loaded 11 Polos/Polo GTIs

Tombarra is underway with a total of 11 polo gtis onboard, 5 of which are melbourne bound. Next hopes are Topaz Ace, Morning Carol, Tarago and then the Mignon.

Morning Carol and Mignon are docked in Zeebruge currently, Topaz Ace on it's way into port.

Guys, Chassis Number and VIN are the same thing! So neither of your comments makes sense?!

The only thing I can think of is that you're confusing "Vehicle ID" with VIN? Cause there is a "Vehicle ID" number in NADCON?

Aaah cool. I wonder whether the term "VIN" isn't used in the USA or Europe or something. You'd think they'd just label the Chassis Number as "VIN" in NADCON!

In case anyone knows of anybody looking for a 99 mk4 golf manual with new timing belt, serpantine belt, full service just done, new brake fluid etc, new coolant sensor going in, 155,000kms on the clock, KYb adjustable suspension.... aw hell, if anyone knows, let me know

Just got an email from the dealer saying my Feb '11 ordered GTI now has a "build sequence number" but he couldn't say when manufacture would
start. He still estimates delivery between Oct '11 and Feb '12. Sigh....

But great to hear some of you are already on the boat! Even makes me exited. Can't wait for pics and first drive reviews!

The bad news.... it docks in Fremantle... I'm in Brisbane!

I wonder how it will take to cross the continent... (and what condition it will arrive in)... I was told to expect delivery mid-May.

The good news!... my Polo GTI is already underway... but not on the Taiko, as I suspected, but on the Manon due in Australia on the 24th of April!

The bad news.... it docks in Fremantle... I'm in Brisbane!

I wonder how it will take to cross the continent... (and what condition it will arrive in)... I was told to expect delivery mid-May.

Will float the whole way to Brisbane arriving on the 24 April at this stage.
