What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)
I managed to get my GTI a few weeks ago and I've had a stage 1 tune done by APR. Very nice indeed. Just waiting for them to release the new air intake. If I had the $$$ the intercooler would be after that for sure. That little 1.4 gets very warm.
What figures did you get on the Dyno after the tune? Really keen to get this done now
Also did you get the EMCS programmable mapping thing?

Hey mike, first off, please don't go gloss black on the white, someone has already done it here in Melbourne and it looks..... well, odd. In regards to ecu, DNA, revo, je design all hav tunes already out there for the gti.

In some cases, i agree, an X6 looks good like that for example. Polo GTI, not so much but hey, it's your car I'm personally going with metallic charcoal.
we had the melbourne dyno day yesterday... all the cars that John (DNA Tuning) has tuned, had ridiculously smooth power / torque graphs. very, very good tune, the DNA one.

I have to admit, it does look ugly in those pics.
But i'd say its due to the wheels being half brown and having dirty brown tyres as well.
They're too dirty to tell if its a home job or not.
If i get it done i'll just have to keep them very clean all the time haha...
Maybe i could get a metallic black? I know a powder coating joint down the road from my work in Bayswater that have many variations to choose from.
Keen to see your car around soon though

Ha ha, yeah, me too except it's going to sit on the damn dock in Germany for another 3 weeks it seems!
The other thing about powdercoat is that you have to be careful with what you clean it with, it can become soft and tacky, also make sure you get a high temperature rated one, brakes generate quite a bit of heat under hard work and our powdercoat line here runs at around 200 degrees to "cook" the powder.....

I didn't pay the extra to get the dyno done. Just had the ECU modified. It should be around the 152kw I think. Not sure what that is at the wheels, but it's faster and that's all that matters for me. It has the EMCS ... valet is funny ... tested that on the weekend ...
If you are getting a GTI you need to have this done.
