What have you done with your Polo so far (and today)

Did the flash get put on by John@DNA via his laptop or did you do it yourself with a flash loader or laptop etc? It's never happened to me personally, but ive heard that sometimes the flash wont write properly to the ECU due to low battery voltage / poor connection in the cable etc. Also if the battery is disconnected some cars will revert back to the stock tune apparently.

When you first did the tune did you notice the difference in power/torque? It should be pretty noticeable (eg big grin when you put your foot down - especially the first few times).

Given the power reading your got and the fact that its running rich that sounds to me like its the stock tune. Im sure John will sort you out and get you tuned up again.

yeh i installed it myself with the laptop he sent me. i guess it might have not flashed becuase i remember the laptop was very low on battery. it did kinda feel abit faster, but not as much as i would have expected. it might have just been a placebo effect. anyway Im gonna email john and see if i can get it sorted.

Speaking from my own experience, it was very noticeable in 2nd gear (manual), 3rd too. There is a particular on ramp that I use to get onto the Gateway motorway (heading north) where the Budget Airport Parking is on Nudgee Road, while making sure that I'm doing the same things I'm easily carrying 15-20km/h more than I used to on stock when I hit the top. It should feel much the same in first (still retarded) and cruising about, but should be obvious when you plant it in the lower gears. If not, you've definitely got an issue (already confirmed by your dyno numbers) and should try again with John, you know he will do his best to sort things out for you. But tell him him to put the power lead in the box next time! (I had to buy one and charge it up).

thanks gusman. yeh ive talked to john and he is sending me the kit this week along with a cord that can record boost pressure so john can tell it its been flashed properly or not.

its plasti dip, it just peels off man, much less hassle than putting in blank inserts

Ahh that's ok no probs. just looked like spray paint and I thought why ruin a good pair of foggies. Other than that looks good!

Hey just wondering do you GTI owners have black C/A pillars and roof lining.

Saw a brand new GTI at the dealer today and noticed it, quite different to mine which is a cream/grey. Looked pretty slick...
