  • Over here, if you have the switch for the foglights in your car, they MUST work or it won't get its road-approval, not that I have ever used them though..

Does the kit from cufatec cover all the nessessery ingredients or do you still have to buy some parts? (except tape) Got VCDS already.

    Thnx

Yeah other than tools (Bobby pin, Trim removal kit etc.) the Kufatec has all the bits you need.

Heres the manual to get an idea of whats involved. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...xClURCEaw/edit

              • Because the xenons have their own separate control module that requires programing, along with the rain sensor / light senor cluster.

It's all software these days mate

                • Yeah the Polo has three different levels of BCMs (Body Control Modules), 6R0 937 087 (entry-level), 6R0 937 088 (mid-level) and 7H0 937 089 (high-end). The 7H0 is the one with all the funky auto features and is only found in the Xenon equipped Polos. It's code actually suggests it was originally used in the T5 Transporter, go figure.

                    • Bassik, in reference to your question RE air filters, without a full replacement, low restriction intake like that from itg or hp then all you are likely getting is placebo. I'm not an advocate of aftermarket "sport" filters because there is always a trade off with the increased flow and that is generally poorer filtration. That's if they indeed have increased flow. I was at a dyno day a few years back and a few mk5 r32 golfs were being dynoed. Bazzle's stock intake and filter produced a higher dyno figure than a pair of R32's running expensive aftermarket filters and intakes. Aside from the fact that when we pulled the stock paper filter apart it was almost 3 times the filtration area of aftermarket ones...

I'm not an advocate of it myself really as well. I just felt bad coz he had ordered it in and really I should have just cancelled and told him I never wanted it... but I was curious as well. Well now that I have it installed I can't say it better or worse. I do however feel a slight increase from throttle sensitive. I'll test again on weekend and see if I notice anything.

Have a good holiday whenever you go!
