Hey mate I ordered a White 5 door with sunroof, comfortpack, upgrade audio (the 510 unit), and the more expensive bluetooth for $35200 and that includes on road costs.

        Does this help??

My original order was $32,500 but when the dealership couldn't deliver in the time they promised, I ended up paying $3k more for one.

I thought Melbourne has higher registration cost than Sydney?

                  • No. Melbourne (at least post code 3000) has 624.10, but that includes the "CTP" which they call something else.
Sydney is $313 for the rego and then $450 to 490 for the CTP....

VIC's stamp duty is 2.5% up to $57466
NSW is 3% up to $45000

                    • ACT's stamp duty is 2% for the Polo GTI, and 0% for the 77TSI because of our "Green Vehicle Scheme". But I think our registration costs are higher...

                          • I think all the VW figures for "drive away" prices are based on a 40 y/o. But yeah... in several of the states the prices are dependent on the individual - hence why there is always such a long disclaimer on manufacturers drive away prices

That's because you bought in hick-town, not melbourne and the dealer was nice, unlike the one locally that like reaming people in the back passage with their (lack of) customer lies, sorry, service...
