I have the Audio package included - would you say a 3 month additional delay within the bounds of reasonable? My wait is now 6 months from making my deposit.

No it's not reasonable. But VW Australia was most likely unaware that this situation wouild arise. They should have contacted you and asked if a car without the audio package would be satisfactory for a reduced wait time.

A 6 month wait for what is just a small hatchback is insane. I personally would have either changed my order or bought something else.

I agree its no where near good enough. The polo is the third vw i have ordered and all have been spec'd up and all took no longer than 3.5 months. I ordered the polo with sports comfort and audio late june and dealer tells me it should be here first week of October. The a week for other fittings like blutooth and tint.

77TSI Pepper grey manual, Sports & Audio pack with full tinting.

$25 690 drive away... what do you guys think, was that an OK price to pay?

Not bad. I got the same spec but with comfort, mats, blutooth, for about 1200 less. The sales guy really looked after me i think as i ordered a tiguan fully specced and a golf all in the last 12 months

I cant wait for the polo.

I couldn't care less about some % figure. I wanted it to match the rear privacy glass and do its intented job. All good on both fronts.

a 77TSI with Comfort/Sport/Audio would be significantly cheaper than a GTI/with options. As a 'rough' guide, a 77TSI DSG comfort/sports/audio should be had for about $26750.00 (if you push hard enough)

I'm currently speaking to a few dealers and trying to secure a 77TSI DSG in the next couple of weeks.

The best deal i have so far is:
26,000 for 77TSI DSG (Candy White), Audio Pack, Bluetooth, Rubber mats throughout & Tinting. Is this a decent price? The dealers are all playing the "these cars are scarce and in demand because of the Car of the year award" do you think there is any truth in this?

Nah there trying to pull you in for a straight deal, well look its very good i got 77TSI (flash red) Sports pack, Audio pack, Bluetooth, polo mats for $26,500 So you got the tints and all for a cheaper price, did it include the sports pack?

No Five door Stock till at least June.. Massive demand world wide.. shortage of parts.. big problem... for Dealers.For the consumer too. so great prices to be had but you will have to wait till June.. Most dealers will be like this..

Is this just for the comfortline or for the GTI as well?
