Other than the rattle my Polo is perfect.
I have owned 34 new and used VW's, 2 new Porsches and an new Audi and I have had little to no issues with them. My Mk4 R32 I sold with 170,000kms on it and it was faultless and it still felt like new.
We have now done about 300km's in the Polo, it's a fantastic little car. It blew me away how good it was on the freeway, it went up hills like they weren't there. I would recommend the car to anyone and if the rattle can be sorted that would make it perfect.[/COLOR] 2016 VW Golf GTI MK7 40 Years, DSG, Tornado Red, Tinted Windows,

Dropped the car into the service centre today. They where able to fix one issue that I didn't even know existed! The suspension had always felt quite stiff, however I thought this was normal. Turns out the dealer that I purchased it from left the transport foam plugs in the suspension!
Anyway on to the rattle; they weren't able to fix it today. I mentioned what bushnut had said about the aircon pipes and the service tech said whilst they knew about that issue it's not what causing the rattle in my car. Then again he was quite arrogant about the whole thing. I also mentioned that VW may have a tech bulletin out for the issue and he said that he wouldn't contact VW as they sit behind the computer and don't actually fix the cars so what would they know?
After a bit of going back and forth he said that he would need the car for 3 days to fix it. I got a bit pissed about that. Anyway end result is they will call me midday tomorrow to let me know how it is going.2020 VW Golf R

The rattle is fixed!
Here is the full word for word description on my invoice:
Multiple pipes underbonnet and fuel lines noisy, roadtested vehicle with customer and confirmed presence of noises. Traced noise to fuel pipes rattling in chassis rail, removed pipes and insulated with foam, tested, noise now gone. Traced other noise to L/H/F chassis rail holder/clip adrift that holds P.A.S pipes. Refitted clip correctly, tested, noise now gone. Heard another noise, traced this noise to air coupipe rattling against chassis rail on R/H/S manovered pipe away from chassis, no noise evident now.
Have driven for nearly two hours and no rattle now though!2020 VW Golf R

Wow Allegiance, you got a really good result from somone who was willing to spend the time to locate the rattles. I've found that rattles are definately something dealers try to fob off as just being 'normal'.
In a way I don't blame the individual, trying to find / fix a noise can be very tedious.

good to hear you got the rattle fixed looked like the dealer had a good attempt at trying to fix the problem and got to the air con pipes in the end the fuel pipe and other pipe work that you didn't know about was just a write up to gain more time for warranty the rattle never went till the air con pipes were adjusted happy driving.

Had a similar issue as some others but not exactly the same.
After a couple of weeks, started getting a louder than expected vibration from the engine after coming to a halt, most prominantly after the car had warmed up and my foot was on the brake.
Took it to a VW dealer along with Allegiance's invoice description and they did as follows: Used foam/sponge to create a damper around the fuel lines in the chassis rail.
It has improved now, although I'm still trying to work out if I'm definitely satisfied with the outcome.
Interestingly, the dealer's demo Polo had the typical rattle that they'd been unable to fix thus far.
