Picked my new MY13 GTI this morning, and i.am.in.love - already clocked up 250kms!!! Mine was built in February this year and has the Dunlops on them.

Yeah - I see you mentioned over in WA you are getting Bridgestones. When I test drove a Red GTi i believe it had those, perhaps they had spare dunlops around for my car? Either way, driving on them all day and im reasonably happy with them - plenty of grip and no tyre squeals to hear of.

Yep, I was hesitant on the Black but after having it I wouldn't have any other colour! One thing I have noticed with regards to ride height: It is less noticeable with the black compared to other colours i've seen.

The Bi-Xenons are absolutely awesome mate - there is no comparison to standard headlights! The lights detect when you turn the corner and turn on side lights which is awesome, and the clarity of them are great as well. I've just driven around for the last couple of hours (hills, highway, coastal) and I cant fault them! Consider adding them on if you still can! Did I mention they look awesome?

I've had no loose seats to speak of, have a nice fart noise at around the 80km/4-5 gear as well (nice when accelerating onto highway!), so far no complaints!

Sadly I don't have the $$ to add xenon's now. They look great on the car though. Maybe a future add on though for sure.

Picked my candy white with xenons on Monday after work.

it was supposed to be picked up today and i arranged a few days off of work to run it in over my 4 day weekend.

happy with the car. im hearing a slight rattling sound from the dash under acceleration so i have to take it in for the actuator to be looked at but if thats the only thing wrong then im a very happy man.

cant wait to finish running it in so i can get to go for some spirited runs through the hills up my way.

it came with dunlops. they seem alright.

You can buy the iPhone cable from spare parts at any VW dealership, but if you want it cheaper, then eBay has tonnes of them. Also, remember that you can stream music via Bluetooth (which comes with the car) so maybe the cable isn't necessary. Although, you will get better sound quality via the cable and it charges your phone.
