Walked into Gold Coast VW today after passing a white GTI drive past wearing dealer's plates. Had a chat with salesman who had only been there a week and wasn't even aware of the waiting time (or much else about them either). Had a test drive and afterwards found out they had 2 5 doors in stock - the white one and a red one from a cancelled order. I am now the owner of a red Polo GTI.

Official owner of a Black 2012 MY12.5 Polo GTI! Picked my baby up this afternoon.

The short test drive before purchasing did NOT do this little gem justice at all (and still loved it then!). Had the best fun driving home. Car felt extremely sturdy at 120km p/h - forgot I was in such a small car until I got out and saw how much space I had left in the parking bay. Going to have lots of fun driving this - boyfriend is already trying to snatch it off me!

Just need to work on getting the steering wheel and seat adjustments perfect now.

Look forward to hearing how other people are travelling with their polos. And no more white pics please. It hurts too much!

Picked up my flash red gti yesterday morning.
Have to agree with jessi that the short test drive doesn't do it justice. It's so much fun. I will need to go for a run up Mount Tamborine soon. At least I have a good substitute for the Ducati with all this wet weather.
