When I saw the car, it looked like the roof can slide back only a certain amount or it will hit the antenna.
Also visited a VW dealer in Stuttgart, he said approx 4 months wait on a newly ordered Polo Gti. They had two in stock that were nicely optioned also. Doh !!

I believe it is the wind deflector, majority of sunroofs have them. My honest opinion, the sunroof looks odd open but again, that's just my opinion looks cool closed tho

Can it be lowered whilst the sunroof is opened? Looks weird with it up like that - i'm used to cars appearing higher at the back & angling down to the front with the sunroof open & not having something popped up like that looking like it's in the way....(silly I know)..

I highly doubt it, all the cars I've ever been in with sunroofs have that automatically pop up, otherwise it feels like you have a leaf blower stuck to your head....

Almost all sunroofs have some type of wind deflector which pops up at the front... this one needs to be larger because of the fact the sunroof is so large. The only way to avoid this but have the sunroof open would to be to use the "tilt" function of the sunroof (if it has one).

Sitting in the driver's seat, it is easy to find the right driving position and the sports seats are both supportive and comfortable, though the tartan inserts are starting to date a little.

That's exactly what i was thinking, hence why I doubted it was "snapped", especially because I need one to look at the sunroof mechanism! Lokos like I have to wait for frostee's car after all!

I work for a German company and can operate an iphone... not that hard to believe.

There is a VW dealer across the road and snapped these pics for the scirocco guys.

Had about 7 Polo Gti's but none with sunroof.... some with steel rims so alloys look like an option.
