Thoughts on CAI, TIP and aftermarket DV for a Stage 1 6C GTI.
Car currently APR Stage 1 with manual clutch upgrade only.
    Daily driver.
    Thanks.

CAI and TIP, absolutely recommended. DV is dependent on the tuner, currently have Ecotune Stg 2 on ours and DV was not recommended by the tuner. Stg 2 is mental ....

I'm runing aPR Stage 1 on mine and while not the same motor, but my experience is that a CAI tends to let you hear the spool more while allowing better flow... but having it on or off my car doesn't make a difference I can feel, but definitely hear.
DV doesn't sound different or feel different to me... but it's installed

      What is TIP?

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Appreciate any advice on best place to buy CAI, TIP and DV.
I used to buy all my MK4 GTI stuff off ECS back in the day.
Prices seem to vary immensely particularly with CAI.
I am after sound definitely so am looking at the open pod system if that is legal in NSW.
DV looking at GFB T9351 DV+ which uses stock solenoid?
Integrated Engineering CAI looks neat too.
          Racing Line stuff seems overpriced.
ANY advice really appreciated from any of the VW community.
          Thanks

Be aware that the TIP from a 2.0TSI EA888.3 does not work with the 1.8TSI EA888.3 in the 6C GTI ....

TIPs for the 2.0 is widely available (including quite good knock-offs of brand names), only a few (and all brand names) are out there for the 1.8 in the 6C. Do not believe any add that claims it fits both 1,8/20TSIs

In the end I had to buy a brand name version.
