What part of Sydney are you in? North, South, East or West. There are many places to get your Polo GTI tuned in Sydney. You will need to decide if you are happy with a standard/off the shelf tune from one of the many tuning companies (APR/Racingline/Integrated Engineering/TVS/EcoTune) or if you want a custom tune done from someone like Galano Engineering.
How much are you willing to spend?
Having a manual car, you may have to get a "low torque" version of the tune so that you don't overpower the stock clutch.
I'm in the south. I am happy to get one of the off the shelf tunes. It's more just for a little fun then anything serious.
The Polo GTI 6C manual, runs the MQ350 gearbox (Same as in a Golf GTI and a Golf R). This box and the clutch that goes with it is strong enough to cope with a Stg 1 tune without any drama, provided you have some mechanical sympathy for the drivetrain.
I intend to go Stg 2+ (IS20 turbo) on our 6C GTI manual on the stock clutch .....
as an FYI, my Golf R manual is a Stg 2+ running on a stock clutch too ... no issues as yet and its been a fair few kms.
