Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.       I guess I was lucky. Just worked 1st attempt. Are you on NBN?

            Not having much luck with DiscoverCare either - it thinks about it for a while and then says Network connection lost.

              thats weird. Silly IT troubleshooting I know, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

              I only ask because I couldn’t get the map update to take on my cars if I downloaded the update pack and unzipped it to a card. Would update the sw version, not the maps. Using discover pro, it update both.

              Hopefully vw sort out the DiscoverCare situation and get it working reliably - it’s handy having the all in one, download manager, card prep etc.

                UJpdated the maps through DiscoverCare yesterday. All worded well with a new 2019 update. I think it was down while updated the maps and software updates.

                    What size SD card did you use as it says my formatted card is too small @32GB file is only supposed to be 24gb.

                        I used 32Gb but I think I had to reformat to NTFS from exFat32

                            I reformated before I started to Fat32 , turns out the problem was my computers main hard drive didn't have enough free space. Just migrated some data to the 2nd drive and we were good to go.
